Jean Cloquet specialises in wider company law, private contract law, debt collection, real property rights, purchases and sales, renting and commercial letting and distribution.
In addition, he has wide experience of liability and insurance law, disputes between commercial partners and associates, and also in commercial contracts, takeovers of commercial undertakings and share transfers, as well as commercial contracts such as distribution, agency, enforcement and attachment law, and also an interest in procedural law and commercial criminal law, etc.
Mainly he assists businesses (commercial businesses and liberal professions) as well as private individuals.
Jean Cloquet joined MDP in 2018 after 17 years at a Ghent law firm mainly concentrating on commercial and business law. He has been a member of the Ghent Bar since 1995. He gained his licentiate in law at the University of Ghent in 1995.
He has been a deputy judge at the Commercial Court of Ghent, Ghent Division, since 1 December 2013.
