Bettina Poelemans mainly concentrates on public sector contract law, and deals with both cases regarding contract awards and implementation of contracts, with a strong focus on the construction industry and contracts for works.

In addition to assisting numerous construction companies she also helps other businesses in very varied sectors regarding public sector contracts for supplies and services. She is also active in private construction law.
Bettina Poelemans joined MDP in 1994 and has been a partner since 2000. She has been a member of the Ghent Bar since 1991.
She gained her licentiate in law at the University of Ghent in 1991 with great distinction.
From 1991 until 1995 she was also a part-time assistant lecturer, first at the Faculty of Civil Law at the University of Ghent, and then for two years at the Institute of Family Law at KU Leuven.
Bettina Poelemans publishes about public contract law and provides regular training courses, also in-house.
